Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus performs at the National Christmas Tree Lighting
A Washington D.C tradition merged with a Tucson, Arizona tradition as the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus made their third appearance at the National Christmas Tree Lighting Thursday.
The group has been invited to perform twice before: in 1963 and 1991. The middle and high school aged singers traveled Tuesday to Washington to prepare for the show.
The ensemble sang "Carol of the Bells" and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and were accompanied by the United States Marine Band.
The President and First Lady appeared to light the tree before the entertainment began. Along with the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, other headliners included "The Voice" stars Spensha Baker and Chevel Shepard, the West Tennessee Youth Chorus and TV personality and singer, Jessie James Decker.
While in Washington, D.C, the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus also toured and performed at the U.S. Capitol. They return home to Arizona Friday.
