WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -- WASHINGTON (Gray DC) — The world’s largest pro-life event takes place Friday in Washington D.C. Thousands of people are descending on Washington this morning for the “March for Life.” The annual event takes place in January to mark the historic Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Case.
The case held that the Constitution protects a woman’s right to an abortion. Marchers from across the country will take over the National Mall and call for a pro-life agenda, many hoping for the eventual overturning of the Roe v Wade.
School groups, religious organizations and other individuals will hear from high profile speakers before marching from the mall to the Supreme Court.
The program starts on the National Mall at 12 p.m. ET and the actual march to the Supreme Court begins at 1 p.m. ET.
