"We'll have to make that decision," Inhofe said in an interview on Thursday.
Inhofe said he is focusing on chairing the Senate Armed Services Committee.
"If you chair a committee, and I chair the largest committee in the United States Senate, then all of a sudden, you are a candidate, not a chairman of a committee," he said.
He said he and other lawmakers in that committee are continuing to rebuild the military.
The Senator also discussed a number of issues important to Oklahomans, including Governor Stitt's plan to open a state office in Washington, D.C. and the ongoing impeachment process on Capitol Hill.
