WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -- Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI) said the entire Michigan congressional delegation has been invited to meet with General Motors CEO Mary Barra on Thursday.
Walberg is displeased with the way GM announced it would layoff more than 14,000 workers, and close several plants.
Walberg said, "They [GM] didn't handle this well. They're going to hear that. Mary is going to hear that from me, and I'm sure my colleagues."
GM announced it plans to close two plants in Michigan in 2019.
Walberg said, "We're going to talk about what it would take to keep the Hamtramck facility open, and put new product there."
