Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel says she supports President Trump’s decision to host an outdoor rally Saturday at Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire.

The event comes three weeks after the President held an indoor rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma that drew smaller-than-expected crowds amid concerns of rising coronavirus infections in the region.

“I feel much better about what’s happening heading into New Hampshire,” said McDaniel. “We’ve seen a lot of local interest; people are excited.”

The Trump campaign’s announcement of the Portsmouth rally noted that “there will be ample access to hand sanitizer and all attendees will be provided a face mask that they are strongly encouraged to wear.”

Critics are calling the event reckless and inconsistent with New Hampshire reopening guidelines.

The rally is Saturday July 11th at 8:00p.m.

Doors will open at 4:00p.m.
