WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -- Local leaders traveled to Washington, D.C. Thursday in hopes of building a stronger relationship with the Trump administration.
Cody Schulz, the Morton County [North Dakota} Commissioner, and Neal Tapio, a South Dakota state senator, were among those at the White House Thursday.
Schulz said, "Having an administration that will talk with us and not just at us is just incredible for North Dakota."
Tapio said, "Once you develop those relationships, then you can work on issues that affect South Dakota like agriculture. We've got issues like trade as well as homeland security. Just being able to meet with the leaders of those departments opens the doors to future progress."
