WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -- Congressman Dan Kildee (D-MI) and Congressman Jack Bergman (R-MI) say they would like General Motors CEO Mary Barra to meet with the congressional delegation.
Bergman said, “It would be a good idea for us as a Michigan delegation to hear what GM has to say.”
Kildee said, “It’s my hope that in the near future that our entire Michigan delegation will have a chance to sit down with the C-E-O.”
Monday, GM announced it would cut more than 14,000 jobs, and close two plants in Michigan.
GM says the changed are expected to happen next year, and it will save the company $6 billion by the end of 2020.
