Lawmakers discuss the release of Articles of Impeachment

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -- House Democrats released Articles of Impeachment Tuesday morning after months of investigation. The two articles lay out what Democrats say is a case for removing President Donald Trump from office.

The first article focuses on President Trump's abuse of power: "Using the powers of his high office, President Trump solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, in the 2020 United States Presidential election."

The second article accuses the president of obstruction of Congress for not complying with the House investigation. They make this argument by naming several White House officials who did not testify in front of Congress despite House subpoenas.
