Grijalva returned this week from a congressional delegation trip to Madrid, Spain for the 2019 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP 25.

He said the international community wants the United States to get back into the Paris Agreement, an agreement to combat climate change and promote lower carbon emissions.

He said Arizona is not immune to changes in the climate.

"The heat, the loss of water supply, those are all related to climate change," he said.

Grijalva said he and his colleagues in Congress want to introduce legislation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to help the oceans.
