WASHINGTON (Gray DC) -- Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall visited the White House Wednesday to help brief President Trump on the drug situation at the southern border. The White House says Marshall and a number of other individuals are there to describe the "step by step process by which drugs are smuggled from countries in Central and South America, brought through the southern border, and eventually distributed into our local communities"
Marshall says he agrees with President Trump that there is a national emergency and crisis at our southern border. Marshall's state does not lie on our southern border with Mexico, but he says he still sees the effects.
