Administrator Jovita Carranza discusses the latest in aid for small businesses
Small Business Administration Administrator Jovita Carranza says the Paycheck Protection Program is working for millions of businesses across the country.
The program was crafted by Congress in late March and enacted by the SBA and Treasury Department to help small businesses impacted by the coronavirus shutdown stay afloat if they kept employees on their payroll.
With an initial $350 billion injected into the fund, lawmakers had to expand the purse by $310 billion weeks later as the popularity of the program ran the existing funds dry.
